Barb Rockx, CPA, CA, MAcc
Barb is a professional accountant by training, a mother of three adult children, a university lecturer and a long-time volunteer in her community. She currently lectures in the business programs at the University of Toronto, where she has been involved for over 30 years. With a career focus on education, she spent many years working as a course builder and case developer with the former Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and a course builder with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. Barb has recently “retired” from an eight-year tenure on the Board of Directors of a local girls’ minor hockey association where she served as Treasurer and President, amongst other roles. She continues to volunteer as Treasurer for the Provincial Women’s Hockey League, that includes twenty teams comprised of the top female hockey players in Ontario, many of whom have gone and will go on to represent Canada in the Olympic games.
Barb brings a life-long interest in health and well-being to her new role as Treasurer for Body Brave.
