Julie Shea is a life long Hamiltonian where she has raised two daughters, run a business and participated heavily in her community.
Julie graduated with a Honours Political Science degree from the University of Waterloo followed by Masters in Health Administration from the University of Ottawa. Upon completion of her formal education Julie began a career in financial planning and she eventually became a managing partner of GIC Financial Services where she worked for 15 years. She eventually sold her business and decided to shift gears and begin an entirely different career in public service. She currently holds the position of Director of Operations at Centre3 for Artistic and Social Practice a charitable artist run centre the provides accessible space and outreach to the community. Julie has always been very community minded, and recently served at Volunteer Co-Chair for Telling Tales Festival and President of the Hamilton Rotary Club. Julie comes to Body Brave as a caregiver and is passionate about sharing her experience to help others.
