Mindfulness Practice Community
We practise meditation in our sessions as a way to learn how to be more mindful in our everyday lives.
Drop-ins are welcome. We encourage people to join us and benefit from the energy of meditation in a group.
No previous knowledge or experience about meditation or mindfulness is needed to participate. A short walking meditation is part of the practice; you are welcome to share in that to the level of your ability/comfort. Chairs are available as well as cushions when we sit.
We meet weekly, Monday evenings from 7:15 to 8:30. Please confirm with the website before attending, as there may be changes to the schedule.

Ginny Megin studied guided imagery and visualization techniques in the 1980's, and has used these strategies with adults and children in a variety of settings. She attended a retreat with Thich Nhat Hahn in 2013 where she learned to meditate in the Buddhist tradition. Since then, she has personally benefited tremendously from this practice. She started a group in Burlington which continues to meet. As well, Ginny has dealt with compulsive overeating herself, and through a variety of supports, has lived in a healthy relationship with food for many years. She is so pleased to be facilitating meditation at Body Brave as she knows the importance of having helpful strategies as well as being in a community of caring people in order to heal from an eating disorder.
Each session is stand alone. Registration for all sessions is not required.
When: Mondays, starts September 9, 7:15-8:30pm EST
Location: Body Brave, 1047 Main Street East (Parking is available on the street directly in front of the building)
Cost: By Donation. As a non-profit, we rely on your generosity to keep our doors open. There is no registration fee for this group because it is drop-in.
