Andrea LaMarre is a PhD candidate in the Department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition at the University of Guelph. Her research focuses on eating disorder recovery from the perspective of diversely embodied people in recovery from eating disorders.
Andrea is involved in the eating disorder awareness community as a member of the Academy for Eating Disorders advocacy and communications committee, the Eating Disorders Association of Canada, as a volunteer for the National Initiative for Eating Disorders and as a contributor to the National Strategy for Eating Disorders. She was co-chair of her local eating disorders coalition, the Waterloo-Wellington Eating Disorders Coalition from 2015-2017, and is currently chair of the Association for Size Diversity and Health’s social media committee.
Andrea’s work has received national and international recognition; she has spoken at over 30 conferences over the past 5 years and co-authored 25 peer reviewed articles and book chapters.
