Through guided mindful breathing exercises, and short periods of silently meditating on our breathing, we improve our ability to stay focused in the present moment, without regretting the past or worrying or rushing to the future. Within a small group, those who wish to share are then welcome to do so in this supportive space. Experienced group leader Ginny Megin, who has dealt with eating issues herself, has seen benefits from this practical approach, the main ones being a greater sense of calm and more moments of random happiness. No experience is needed.
Each session is stand alone. Registration for all sessions is not required.
When: Thursdays, runs from April 25 to May 16, 10:30-11:30am
Location: Body Brave, 1047 Main Street East (Parking is available on the street directly in front of the building)
Cost: Free of charge, donations are always welcome. As a non-profit, we rely on your generosity to keep our doors open.
Yoga mats, blocks and props are available at Body Brave.
