Therapy Dog (In Training) Volunteer
Timmie is a rescue dog and recent graduate of Fetch and Releash, a local non-profit rescue. As a puppy, Timmie was rescued off the streets of Bahrain by a kind stranger after he was hit by a car and left to die by the side of the road. Sadly, his leg had to be amputated. Timmie has made an amazing recovery and 3 legs have not slowed him down. These experiences, his belief in the power of kindness as well as a little luck, have led Timmie to Body Brave.
Timmie is passionate about helping people struggling with eating disorders, anxiety and body image. He has a special interest in the power of cuddles. He uses a compassion-based approach with all of his clients. He is currently completing extra training in Pawsitive Emotion Therapy (PET). He uses his skills as a listener to provide a safe space for clients to relax. He is still undergoing his training but hopes that one day, he will become a full fledged therapy dog at Body Brave.
**Timmie is still recuperating and does not currently visit the Body Brave space. Once he is trained, recovered and ready, he will make announced visits. He will always be on a leash and the space will be cleaned after. Look out for updates on his progress on our social media!
